People have been making art since they first came to live on the earth thousands of years ago. Many of the more recent cave painting discoveries have been made by children, hiking and playing in areas long inhabited by man.
These materials are intended to help classroom teachers set up a classroom mini museum, complete with artifact replicas, where students can practice rock carvings, and design their own cave painting images. The integrated thematic unit will teach students how to read and write in the travel genre, as they learn about the beautiful paintings and carvings, made by aboriginal people, all around the world.
Some materials of the above units are also available separately.
